Stayed there for a week during the shoulder of the red run. Caught limits of big high quality reds with little difficulty and found honey hole for rainbow trout ( my buddy caught 15 in 2 hours, one was 10+ lbs). Accommodations were comfortable as most cabins were riverside. Provided meals had a welcome Cajun flair. Lodge manager and guide/ fish cleaner were easily accessible but not overbearing. Have these guy organize your outside excursions (fly out trips or deep sea halibut), they have great contacts
I am that buddy! 30.5 inches 18 inch diameter Rainbow! We saw the northern lights, reds run hard, cook inlet drop 20 feet, and a bear shit in the woods! If you fish, and most of my friends do, book your trip... I have Bills, Marlin, Blues, whites and stripes, Sails, Spears and Swords.. Mahi, Amberjack, Cobia, Kings, Tarpon most grouper, and Snapper and Tuna (no bluefin yet!) ... but my first Salmon Run ranks among my all time favorite fishing experiences. Our first time to Alaska with family we had a awesome time the crew here are the best we had everything we needed and then some anybody wanting to visit need to stay here every time.
Great place with great people taking care of you when you stay there. Location is absolutely beautiful and with great scenic views from cabins.
