I love coming here with my parents They have great popcorn shrimp! It's my favorite. They've got a pretty fresh selection of seafood here, with great fishing/fancy decor on the inside. The waiters are all usually very nice and/or helpful too. It's definitely not cheap, but it's not too overly expensive either. For being a seafood place, I think it's reasonable. The clam chowder is great too. They've also got a cute kid's menu with corny jokes on the coasters.
Decent Food, fun bar The food at Kings Fish House is a bit high-priced, as are the drinks. I didn't find the staff to be very friendly - but then again, they are ALWAYS busy. The bar is noisy, and lots of fun. There's an outside dining area that is fun - but be ready to smell cigarette smoke. The oysters are incredible - but the rest of the food is just ok. Evenings and weekends can involve a long wait for seating. PROS: Fun bar CONS: Long wait, prices are a bit on the high side for the quality of food
Seafood Delight This seafood restaurant, located at the corner of El Toro and Carlota, near the 5 Freeway, is a great place for anyone who likes fish. The service is pretty good, permitting you get there early enough to get a seat. Their menu has a host of different seafood dishes, ranging from fried calamari, crab cakes, salmon, shrimp, and a range of different combinations. Good but not great It's ok-- the kind of place where I would have a meeting but I've never walked away saying "wow I must go back to that place" for any dish.
Mmmmh - and fun! If you like seafood, this is the place to go. They always have a selection of great fresh fish and if it's time for oysters, they have a nice selection of them, too. Although the view is not the best, it's still nice to sit outside and have some oysters while enjoying a glass of white or sparkling wine. Although they specialize in seafood, they have some really good pasta, too.
