Holy Moly! What a great experience by a very patient team member, Jennifer. I have been putting off getting some grass in my yard. I went in thinking I needed a certain kind of grass, with Jennifer's expertise and care, she explained a better option to me. I’m a returning customer who just got burned — badly. I ordered 9 pallets of sod, and what I received was dry, patchy, and clearly old. The delivery driver flat-out lied, claiming it was cut the night before. I had a crew waiting, so I was forced to lay it down. Now I’m stuck with dead grass mixed in with green patches — it looks terrible. When I called King Ranch, they blamed me for not watering enough. That’s a joke. It rained. I watered. Called ahead to purchase 2 pallets of Tifway Bermuda which they confirmed having. Once there (after renting a trailer) I must’ve been given the 2 driest pallets of sod they had. After laying one down that same day, I called and mentioned the poor quality of the sod. They mentioned they had just received them that morning which was hard to believe and offered nothing after pictures were sent. First and last time purchasing from this place. Store manager does an awesome job of running a fast and efficient store. The staff is wonderful, especially Jennifer. I can go in, buy a pallet, have it loaded and be on the road in less than 10 minutes. Ordering over the phone is easy to do! Grass is never perfect, but with care and maintenance it'll look great within a year.
