After a major surgery and having spent an entire month in another hospital my husband needed more medical care still and was not ready for home or even rehab yet. Kindred offered my husband the acute care he needed medically for another two months. They became our home away from home. Kindred provided the physicians, nurses, and support staff that kept my husband alive after an aspiration pneumonia event. Without them he probably would not be here today. After spending the majority of a month intubated and bedridden from a stroke at the tender age of 48, I needed an acute rehab center to regain strength and motor function. Kindred provided me with excellent nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory care, and physician services.
