My loved one was neglected on a recent stay. She was left on a bedpan and forgotten about and ended up with three wounds to her bottom. One wound was through 3 layers of skin. Second wound was through 2 layers of skin and third wound was through 1 layer of skin. Kindred's explanation of this neglect was that they were short staffed.
