The best hands down Hospise care. Gentiva in jeffersonville in is the best. Such compassion and totally committed to the patient and their family. George the chaplain was the kindest most thoughtful man the last 3 years to my sister. Her aide. Sonya Smith was her best friend went over and beyond to make sure she was happy and well groomed and made feel pretty every visit. Her nurse Anna so kind and knowledgeable. The care the patients receive is above normal. The way the Indianapolis branch is run is marginal to be to worst I've ever seen. They treat the nurses and aides like crap. Overworked and the office folks do NOT give out the bonuses that the company offers. When you have nurses with OVER 15 patients, they are to receive a bonus which the office managers obviously don't give out. I signed on with Gentiva in Feb of this year and have been unhappy with their services overall. As a terminal cancer patient I have an active port that needs to be flushed every three months to prevent infection, and the nurse that I was assigned to was unable to complete this as she didn’t know how to, which led to an Oncology visit outside of Hospice, a botched port flush, which then led to a continual ongoing dispute with a balance left owing to Medicare of a whopping $87 with their office admin Kaitlin Tretter.
