Dr. Matzie was professional and knowledgeable but also very personable. She made me comfortable and answered all my questions. Despite squeezing me into her schedule, she did not rush. It was a really good experience considering it was about a cancer surgery.

I met with Dr. Matzie after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer. I was anxious to get a team and treatment plan in place. I saw her within the same week that I contacted her office. She recommended a highly skilled medical oncologist. She is a life saver! Dr Matzie performed two planned surgeries (limited pain with the DaVinci robot). She is an excellent surgeon. My family and I knew what to expect and she explained everything for a novice to understand. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Matzie is the best. I met her after Dr. Doughtery moved to bigger opportunities. When I first met her in June 2018, she listened to all of my concern and understood what I was going through. And she put me on a regiment that worked After having emergency at another facility in July 24, 2018, I followed up with Dr. Matzie, six weeks after the surgery. She understood everything; it was as if she had been living with me for the past six weeks. She is patient, kind and caring. Love her!!

Dr. Matzie is an exceptional surgeon who is extremely caring and professional. She helps to put your mind at ease while dealing with the issue at hand. She has a superb bedside manner that you don’t find everywhere. She used the Devi ci robotic instrument to remove my colon and part of my rectum due to cancer and rid the chances of a recurrence. Thank you Dr Matzie

I found Dr. Matzie to be a brilliant surgeon and a incredible individual. She speaks to you like a person not a patient, and in terms you can understand. Such a down to earth person with a great sense of humor. Love this lady.

After a couple of years of increasing despair, I ended up in Dr. Matzie's office. After 10 minutes she said, "We've got this." And she did. She treated me with knowledge and empathy - a truly caring and extremely skilled physician - and I am now able to again live much more enjoyably. Very few doctors have impressed me as she has.

Dr. Matzie was the surgeon for my husband’s colorectal cancer. She has a wonderful way of keeping humor in a difficult situation without making light of things. She explains procedures and what to expect with clarity and patience. She was so excited about her work when she came to tell me how well things went with his surgery, she truly enjoys her work and helping her patients. She does not sugar coat recovery expectations, but wants her patients to be comfortable as they are healing.
