Dr Kaufman has continued to perform quality dentistry for me over many years, including applying inplants. The process has always been quick, efficient, affordable and as pleasant as having dental work done can be. I highly recomment him.
I don't like dentists, I am actually terrified of them. Dr. Kaufman was amazing!! He was gentle and understanding of my fears. He explained everything and made a treatment list and plan that fit my tiny budget. I had some messed up teeth because of my fear and now I have an amazing smile!!!

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Kaufman since we moved here 17 years ago. He came recommended by a friend in the area, and we strongly recommend him as well. His fees are competitive with other dentists, and his technique is professional. I've never met a truly pain-free dentist (and my dad was a dentist!), but he is kind, gentle and courteous. The office is slightly dated, but clean and centrally located in San Rafael.
Outstanding dentist committed to preventive maintenance and teeth preservation. I experienced constant tooth pain and requested a root canal for the effected tooth; Dr. Kaufman was focused on treating the tooth and through gum treatment was able to avert the root canal.
Kim is terrific. I've been going there since before I had my kids and they have grown up with him as their dentist too (eldest now almost 21). He's a kind, soft spoken, knowledgeable dentist with a great chairside manner. His staff are long term, Kathy the receptionist is a doll.
Dr. Kaufman takes away my fears of going to the dentist each time. He treats me just how I ask to be treated (a baby!) without making me feel embarrassed. He is the first dentist I have ever been to who makes me both not afraid of the shot and makes it painless... EACH time! He is very: consistent, professional, human, kind, personable, stable, clean, friendly, calming.
