Fronted by a 1939 Kullman dining car, the KDG has one of only 6 diners in the national registry of historic buildings. Our unique restaurant features table-top juke boxes, (non-functional) providing an opportunity to explain to your kids what a record is. An historic edifice is not the only attraction here, inside you will find friendly service and an enticing menu full of high quality food.

One of my top 3 MUST haves for living here on the OBX. Staff is always amazing, food is worth whatever they charge, and atmosphere can't be beat. I love fried chicken Friday lunches, and always try to order from the specials board. And the Philly steak eggs rolls.. shut the door!! Job well done here guys!
Ordered take-out from here twice during our stay. Each time it was prepared quickly, food was delicious, and staff was so pleasant. We will definitely be back and wanted to leave a positive review. We tried some of the chalkboard daily specials and regular menu items, all DELICIOUS!
Had company from out of town and while we would have loved to eat in we picked up take out instead. Everything was as delicious as in the restaurant! Great dinner Liz and team
We have always wanted to try Kill Devil Grill as we have heard amazing things and we were able to have curbside twice this week for dinner. Both times the food was ready right on time when we arrived and tasted amazing. This place has the curbside experience perfected. I hope they keep this option even after this year as for our family it was the perfect way to experience their amazing food twice in the same week when normally we have not been able to get in. look forward to my time in Nags Head which always includes your Key Lime pie but this year I was in for an unpleasant surprise. my heart is broken, everything about the pie seems to have changed. It is no longer the treat that look forward too. so sad!! up until now your Key Lime Pie was the Best I had ever had. please change it back.
LOVED their Key Lime Pie the last few years. They changed it this year. I’m so disappointed. This taste just like it does in every other restaurant now . Booo
