Met a new Doctor here. He was fantastic. He said my husband doesn't need his services again. Then 1 or 2 days later they called and said he has a kidney stone! What???
I dont get called back on my test results but well after and im getting more. I have a better relationship with my primary Dr who goes above and beyond to help me and not much from kidney Dr what so ever. I need another Dr like my primary for kidneys.
I had my first appointment with this office yesterday and it was a stellar experience. Dr. Smith is amazing, took time to Answer all my questions and to come up with creative solutions to some issues I was having. The Front Desk staff and medical assistant were awesome. Very happy with my visit.
The doctor I saw was nice enough and knowledgeable. However I won't be using this clinic again as they apparently cannot figure out how to bill my insurance and never answer their phone. They submitted the bill to the wrong insurance company, and I don't mean an outdated one but some insurance company I have never heard of nor been enrolled in which is technically a HIPAA violation. As a patient of the Kidney& Hypertension Clinic of Alaska, I called the on call Doctor and wanted his advice. I had blood work for a procedure the next morning at Alaska Regional for multiple Kidney Stones to be removed. My eGFR Kidney filtration rate was 11 which indicated severe Kidney failure and possible need for Dialysis. The on call Doctor refused to talk to me about this issue. I will no longer be going to that clinic.
