Dr. Kia, should not be treating anyone. She has a lack of medical knowledge and does not listen to her patients. Not only is she not empathic I truly believe it makes her happy to abuse her patients, unless it is just her elderly patients. She has misdiagnosed my father several times and almost killed him three times. DO NOT go to this doctor your life will be in jeopardy, the worst part about it is she doesn't care. Dr Kia is cold and does not listen to her patients. A few years ago I brought up severe back pain I was experiencing. I couldn’t bend down and I was only 21 years old. She told me it was nothing and people my age experience this kind of pain as they are “aging.” I am now diagnosed with scoliosis, early stage arthritis, and sciatica (by a diff PCP). This doctor is very dismissive in regard to the patient concerns, but she does refer you out for pricey procedures to her friends and then never follow up regarding the results. Just an unpleasant experience in general if at all possible, pick another physician.
Dr. Kia is very rude. She makes me very uncomfortable and I don't feel as though I can ask questions on her time. She is unprofessional and will judge you. The only reason I stayed with her is because I called everywhere and no one in Grand Blanc was accepting new patients. It is very unfortunate. She needs to take a step back and recognize that her patients are her first priority and she needs to treat them ALL in a respectful manner.
complete colonoscopy 2018. polyps found and removed. 2019 experiencing repeated UTI's. Sixth bout, culture taken. discovery of streptococcus bovis bacteria in bladder. Dr. Kia calls friday at 4, while I am at work, to tell me this might mean colon cancer! Blood tests show no infection, thankfully . I asked for a prescription for cologuard, to check for blood in my stool. Dr. Kia refuses, saying I'll find out more in three years once another colonoscopy is due to be ordered. How about now? Dr. Kia seems to follow establish guidelines of practice, and is generally pleasant as long as you do not question her. She seems a bit insecure, as she is annoyed whenever I question rationale for treatment. She became VERY annoyed when I sought a second opinion, and seems disinterested in opinions of her fellow physicians. This the first physician I have encountered who discourages second opinions.
Dr. Kia and her staff have been thorough, professional and thoughtful in their care. I've been a patient for a couple years and have had some health issues and am so grateful to have this team supporting me in my health journey. I have recommended her to many of my friends and family.
Dr. Kia is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. As a young college student suffering from depression she initially decided I start taking a medication. Later after it made me worse, I went to another doctor who told me he had not seen anyone on that medication in years due to its extreme weight gain side effects. She is rude, entitled, and refuses to care for her patients. I have never felt so frustrated and have never felt so disrespected by someone before. She should not be a doctor.
I was with my previous doctor for several years. She retired and I interviewed Dr. Kia. I have been seeing Dr. Kia for less than six months. I was very disappointed with her patient care and her staff's attention to my medical condition. I would not recommend Dr. Kia.
