She truly cares about her patients and listen to them. She also is good to push back a little when I get a little complacent with taking care of myself.
I just joined the BC/BS SpiraCare network, have only had one visit so far with Dr. Patel at the Olathe SpiraCare clinic, and was very happy with it. She did none of the things that some of the negative reviews say, and everything from the positive reviews: she listens well, she is open, and was respectful of both my personal experience and what I had read regarding a chronic condition. She has NO bedside manner, would often belittle you, and answer your questions in a manner that is an insult to your intelligence. A prime example of her malpractice, is when she made a joke to a nurse about my organ during a physical exam, obviously right in front of me, and laughed.
I would not recommend Dr. Patel if you are looking for an Obgyn. My daughter was her patient for several months, and was not satisfied with the care she was getting. My daughter came down with a medical problem that was so severe she was unable to go to work due to alot of pain. She tried to explain to Dr. Patel that she couldn't work, but she would not take her off of work so she could get better. She didn't seem to care.

Dr. Patel got me in when my regular doctor had a full schedule. She was very thorough and ordered medicine accordingly.
In fact, I would highly recommend Dr. Patel to family and friends. When her assistant, Patti, told me that, having read the low results of my TSH test for my thyroid, Dr. Patel would decrease my thyroid supplement, I was horrified because I'd never heard such an explanation of the need to titrate my medication if my TSH level were low. A second MD opinion confirmed that she was right.
Dr Patel takes the time to listen to what's wrong, and figure out the best course of action to fix it.
Dr. Patel is always kind and caring. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients.
