I think some restructuring of the Lab department is in order. Their lack of professionalism is completely unacceptable. For homecare patients they refuse to make an appointment in advance and just call right before they show up. The patient has dementia and all I am asking for is advance notice with an appointment so I can remind them several times of the appointment so it doesn't startle them and to make sure someone is there for the appointment. Once my mom entered hospice, I felt it took a little too long to have my first contact with a nurse. When I met the nurses for the first time in person, they were very nice. Compared to my Dads hospice experience, I wish I had a little more communication. The chaplin has been very kind. Overall better follow-up would be helpful.
Keystone Hospice is wonderful. As a retired hospice RN from another state, when it came time to look for hospice care for my 95 yr-old mother here in Idaho, I wanted the best. I found it with Keystone. My mother was declining precipitously, and her dementia-related agitation was increasing and making it impossible for her to sleep at night. Keystone and everyone there was a Godsend this past spring to help us in Mom's final weeks. Compassionate, loving people who gave us guidance and kindness thru one of our saddest seasons.
Keystone Hospice has been AMAZING!!! I was on Hospice for 6 months and by the grace of God i was a live discharge. We had a couple hiccups after discharge but Lenny,Johnathon, Cherie and Kristy have walked me through the tough and crazy times. I am now seen once a week for my medications that i am coming off of.
