The key cutting machine at Safeway worked well, all 3 keys worked perfectly. My only criticism is charging extra for wire-brushing to remove burrs. That feels exploitative and like a bait-and-switch. I previously worked as a locksmith, and wire-brushing a finished key was a standard part of the process so: a) nobody got cut, b) metal shavings didn’t get stuck in the lock, and c) the key operated smoothly. It does not work
Avoid. They charged me nearly $400 for 15 minutes of service that required no special tools (plus they damaged the door frame). They gave me one way to pay (Zelle) and wouldn’t provide me an invoice. I called their customer service 4 times. First time, they hung up on me. Second time, they told me it should’ve cost only around $100, said they’d check on it and call me back, they never did.
