I have been to key West shrimp House three other times and it was always good. I took my girlfriend there tonight for our 6 month anniversary, it was extremely disappointed. Her marinara tasted like it was made of half marmalade. I had Orleans shrimp expecting a Cajun type meal as described. I got eight shrimp and eight 1/4" inch hot dog slices that were supposed to be Andouille. The key lime pie was a bluish green that had a pistachio taste. Very dissatisfied.
RecommendedWe have been going to Key West Shrimp for years the food and service are always excellent. Our server tonight was Dorthy she was terrific.

Unfortunately what was going to be a lovely dinner turned into a gross disappointment. After a couple of bites of the potato soup I pulled a wire out of the soup. The manager said it must have come off the brush to clean the potatoes. Yes she apologized and offered more soup..... ummm no thank you. I didn’t expect my dinner to be free but I did expect a discount. No that wasn’t offered. We will not be back.

A local couple told us we could find a great Sunday meal here but apparently they had not eaten here in a few years. We were unable to have a glass of wine because they have lost their liquor license. Our salad was an unimaginative plate of ice berg lettuce with a thin wedge of lettuce and their house made bleu cheese dressing that had no tangy cheese.
