Total hip replacement Feb. 9, 2017 Went very well. Dr. Luke is awesome! I did everything I was supposed to do and I didn't do what I wasn't supposed to do. In June my husband and I went on vacation. I climbed sand dunes, lighthouse steps, 94 steps down to a waterfall viewing area and back up again. Walked miles each day. All with no pain meds! I am so grateful! Now it has been 6 months and its all so good it's like it never happened!!
My mom recently had hip replacement surgery with Dr. Luke and I'm not impressed. I suggest anyone using this surgeon should consult his pain management practices. After surgery she was put on the floor with nothing but Norco for pain. She had been already taking it for pain prior so clearly it wasnt going to work as it should. Several nurses tried to page him and he was "unreachable". His nurse explained that HE doesn't BELIEVE patients need any other pain meds! He never even saw her post-op.
Dr. Luke repaired my Achilles tendon. His bedside manner was great. He got me into surgery quickly and almost painlessly. Although I am not allowed to put any weight on my foot...I was back to work the very next week. He has made this process as easy as it could be. Thanks Dr. Luke.
I had knee surgery on the 27th of September. I waited 7 years to have it done because of the last experience I had at Rush. I wish I had gone to him 1st, then I wouldn't have waited that long. He had me back to work within 8 weeks with NO restrictions. I have recommended him to two other friends of mine. I am working in construction, so thing had to be right. Thanks Dr. Luke.
