I was seeing by Dr Mitts in December of last year after I fell down the stairs at home. He took good care of me before and after the surgery. I’ll recommend him to my family and friends
Dr. Mitts has been spectacular! He is very knowledgeable and is a very good communicator. He provided the information that I needed and followed my progress throughout my recovery. I had knee replacement surgery and was off narcotics within 2 weeks. I was also able to walk independently within 2-3 weeks such that people forgot that I’d had surgery - my gait was very close to normal. Total knee replacement 14 weeks later and back to everything!
All my concerns were addressed. Dr. Mitts answered all my questions and concerns. I was very impressed with both the doctor and his PA. When I had a minor problem, I was seen immediately and it was dealt with. I have been impressed with Berkshire orthopedic.

Dr Mitts is an excellent surgeon who is committed to providing excellent patient care before, during, and after surgery. He has an excellent care team who seamlessly attends to all the important support services. He is responsive, available, and compassionate.
I was very informed and prepared for the hip replacement. Recovery time was amazingly fast
I'm 3 months post op. Aside from a little tenderness and a 'hard' feeling in the affected area I am fine. Dr. Mitts and his assistant Amy provided a very good treatment regimine for my hip. After 3 or 4 injections that were less and less effective I decided for the total hip replacement. I was up and walking as soon as the spinal block wore off and haven't stopped since! I would definitely recommend Dr Mitts and Amy, they are now treating my right knee and I will keep seeing them for this.
Dr. Mitts fully informed me of what I would experience with the proposed surgical procedure. Overall, excellent care, and I have strongly recommended Dr. Mitts to both friends and acquaintances.
