Dr. Farmer performed a total reverse shoulder replacement in October, 2019. Subsequent exams and x-rays demonstrated that the angle the shoulder was placed was 'not quite right.' I had expected better with Dr. Farmer's and Shands' reputations. I cannot recommend Dr. Farmer for a total reverse shoulder replacement.
When I developed severe pain in my shoulder, my primary doctor recommended Dr. Farmer as an expert in the matter. After discussing my symptoms with Dr. Farmer, he thought I’d injured my rotator cuff. Right there at my first appt, he injected steroids into the area of pain. I left feeling better than I had in months. The pain, however, has returned—Dr. Farmer said it might. Never felt like he wanted to be in the room. Does not give full information on your problem. He also does not do guided steroid injections . Have had 2 of thoses and the infection were given to me by another doctor. I’m thinking if you’re a surgeon that can’t or won’t do that injections.

Hello, We have physicians in our group who specialize in ultrasound guided injections. These are our non-operative physicians, as this is something they do every day. Most patients are relieved to have someone who specializes in ultrasound guided injections perform the injection, often for a same day appointment. I'm not sure why that is being presented as a negative thing with this review.
I cannot express how blessed we feel to have had Dr. Farmer attend to our son in time of need. Without trauma or known cause, the head of my Tyler's humerus began to die away. Dr. Farmer dealt with our son by way of careful study, brilliant medical expertise, kindly focus on Tyler's personal needs regarding maintaining healthy lifestyle, and a humble ability to consult with other doctors along the way. All this resulted in a total turn-around for our son. What more could we ask? Thank you!
