Stopped by Kettle on Grand after the gym because I wanted something with protein and a little bit of carbs. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a vanilla iced coffee with oat milk. This place is always busy, but I somehow always manage to find a table. Just a heads up, you order before you sit down. In the past I have enjoyed both the coffee drinks and pastries at Kettle on Grand, but the last few times I have been there I have not had a positive experience. One of the times I was charged a $1.00 for a straw. Another time I was also charged a $1.00 and I was told it was for ice. Also, I was charged .25 for using my debit card. I received the toast topped with avocado spread, bacon, and an egg. The avocado was black, oxidated, throughout. It had a slimy taste. A coffee + toast $20+. This was my second time coming here in a while. The other time the food was poor. This time I mentioned it, and the staff said “okay.” They didn’t try to fix it or make it better. I just ate around it. I think it’s my last time coming here. The quality has dropped. Stick to the coffee if anything. Try James or Mariposa down the street.
The place has the worst service ever. Food is amazing, but the people at the register and the ones making the food aren't giving you what you pay for. They didn't make the order according to preferences, even though I paid extra for these preferences. Drinks arrived cold too.
