This is the first I’ve had issues with a Dr office. My health insurance allows an eye exam and eye refraction , no cost, once per year. This practice charged me $70 which I paid at the office and also billed my insurance as a medical charge instead of billing the eye insurance. I have called more than 10 times. They either said will call me back or they hang up on me. I would not recommend this office Theresa

These folks are great. Not only did I get over my fear of putting contacts in here, but I feel genuinely heard when I bring up my concerns with my eyes.

I had my yearly appointment with Dr. Cowburn last week and he and the staff were helpful and pleasant as always. From the front desk staff to the opticians, everyone always has a on a smile and genuinely wants to know how I'm doing. The staff and Dr. Cowburn take the full time needed to make sure that I'm comfortable during my appointment and know my options for either glasses or contact coverage with my insurance before I decide what I'm going to order. Got glasses and contacts for my son last year. Was told then that the insurance would cover the exam plus glasses OR contacts, but not both, so I paid out of pocket for the glasses. A year later he went in for his yearly exam, which his insurance covered 100% again, but this time he only wanted the contacts. I was told after the exam that his insurance would cover the contacts at 100%, just like it did the first time. I asked them to double check that, and they confirmed it.
