I was brought in by chopper from KDH in Madison In after it was discovered a had a severely dissected aorta. My episode started at 11:30 AM on March 7th. My diagnosis wasn't confirmed until after 7:30 PM that evening. Dr. Mark Slaughter met me in the hallway at Jewish downtown, and introduced himself to me. he told me he was going to be my doctor.
