They allow the demonstration of racist propaganda

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback. Kentucky Venues finds the sale of items representing racist ideology to be despicable and unacceptable. In light of the recent event at the Kentucky Exposition Center where Nazi and white supremacy items were discovered to be for sale, the Chairman of the Kentucky State Fair Board will propose strengthening existing exhibitor policies at the next board meeting on November 15.

It’s within your rights to refuse to enable a white supremacist Nazi to sell swastikas, KKK robes and memorabilia symbolic of hate, intolerance, violence and bigotry at your center. You cashed his check, now you will never cash mine.

It is absolutely disgusting and full of trash - like klan memorabilia and nazi ornaments being sold only THREE DAYS after a hateful racist hunted down and murdered 2 black people in jtown. Their families have hardly begun their mourning as the shock hasn't even subsided and your staff doesn't have the decency to remove these items (that are actual threats of terror) from a tax-payer supported facility? There is never an ok time to promote hatred and violence (as you are doing by selling these items that glorify hatred and vi... read more

You are allowing vendors to sell Nazi-logo'd clothes a day after a Nazi gunned down eleven people, including a 97-year old Holocaust survivor, in a Jewish synagogue. If you can't screen your vendors better than that, you should be out of business.

Right now today people are selling Nazi gear the day after a hate fueled killing spree by a White Nationalist and in the same week another hate killing by a White man. What is wrong with you? This is beyond disgusting.

Any venue that allows nazi and kkk items to be openly sold at any event, especially by the nra, gets no recommendation from me.

You’re allowing Ku Klux Klanners to openly market their racism in your venue? What on Earth are you thinking?? My family comes to multiple events at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Ctr every year. But I will rethink completely if you don’t change your policy on these Issues, disallow blatantly racist organizations and ware, and cancel future arrangements with sponsors of National Gun Day. Guns don’t have to equate to racism. But this gun group obviously does.

I have attended several conferences and events here, but after seeing the vile and hateful activities they are supporting by hosting the Gun show mere days after a race-driven attack in the same city I will no longer be doing so. I am extremely disappointed in the direction the expo center is moving and hope the center will strongly reevaluate any future contracts and agreements to prohibit the promotion of hate groups and beliefs.
