Came to Kent on 4/4 for a medical induction of labor. Though the process was arduous, the entire medical staff made us feel heard and respected our birth plans as much as medically possible which resulted in our healthy baby girl being born on 4/6. During our stay, the nurses and doctors went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, always asking if we needed anything at check ins or having discussions with us about procedures and medications. I’ve been transported to this ER by ambulance, twice in the past six months, and unfortunately felt completely neglected both times. The first visit followed a complete LOC, where I woke up on the floor with signs of cyanosis. The second visit involved full-body stiffness, complete sensory loss while conscious, and intermittent LOC. Despite the severity, both visits resulted in only an EKG and routine CBC being performed. I sat here for hours upon hours just to get pumped with meds and get absolutely no answers, just doctors who refuse to do anything more than take some blood tests. I had gotten sent to the hospital to get scans done, and they wouldn’t do it. They just gave me pain meds and anti nausea meds and called it a day. Later that night I was 100x worse than when I had walked in there. They also told me they were going to prescribe me meds to help after their medication wore off, nope they didn’t even do that for me. This is the worst... read more
