We got a condo next door to be close to Ken's Bakery
I never eat at the same place twice when I travel but I tried Ken's yesterday and returned today for breakfast and a takeout croissant for lunch. Wonderful bread and pleasant staff. I have four more mornings before I leave. I plan to eat here every morning.
Utterly delicious and a must-do every time I'm in Portland. The food and pastries and coffee are exquisite.
We are from Spokane. My husband read Kens book. Going through Portland to visit family, so we thought it would be fun to stop! It was an awesome experience! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere :) will be stopping again next time we come that way!
Went here by chance last time I was in Portland - bought a loaf of walnut bread and was entranced. I knew nothing about them then and only found out later about its reputation - well deserved. Will be on my must visit list next time I am in Portland!
