1. Charges a “brokers fee” (???) equal to or greater than 1 month rent. They make up an arbitrary about for the brokers fee. Why would you charge a tenant who finds the apartment themselves a brokers fee? Not to mention the people that “show” the apartment know absolutely nothing about the unit. You did nothing for the prospective tenant and therefore do not deserve thousands of dollars from them just because you want money. NYC outlawed this practice… because it’s unethical! Complete waste of time as a renter they advertise a completely different unit to the one in the photos and they charge an invented broker fee that they wouldn’t disclose.
