I can't get through to Dr Rice!
I've been going to Dr. Rice for years. I've had no problem getting an appointment to see him. There may be times I have to call a couple of times to get through but understand that he's a very busy, well sought after cardiologist. Sadly, it's very difficulty to see a local doctor in my area south of Boston. I've always been able to see a doctor in Boston much quicker and there's no match between a local cardiologist and someone like Dr. Rice. He's excellent!
Look I think he's a fine cardiologist but they have to change the way they set expectations and schedule appointments. Twice I've come in and day of am told the doctor is not available to go through my test results. Fine. The admin tells me they'll call me the next day with the results. No patient portal, no telehealth link. Not so modern but again, fine. Both times I have waited over an hour after the scheduled appointment. I can't get any help on the phone. I've been hung up on 3 times. The rest of the time they don't even answer the phone. I've been trying to get 5 medications refilled. Very disgruntled patient!!!
