This doctor simply should not be practicing. He walked into the room and refused to acknowledge my presence or introduce himself. He walked out after a few minutes without letting me know whether the appointment was over. I was left sitting in the chair with no instructions.
Cranky, didn't listen to my concerns, argued with me about questions I had.
Though he attempts to portray himself as a learned professional; he is not. He is an old physician who has long passed his mediocre prime. His techniques, skill, and knowledge are behind the curve. He has never had the career of the physicians of the other area teaching institution; he is a "Wanna Be". He is rude to patients and staff members; signs of a "little man". The two offices I have visited since seeing "Dr. Cohen" have mentioned that they have seen many of his former patients.
Dr. Cohen is extremely rude and inconsiderate to patients. He is completely dismissive of their concerns. It is obvious that he would rather not talk to patients as all as he abruptly interupts and cuts patients off mid sentence without consideration. He even walks away as patients are asking questions. He comes off as a complete jerk who considers his patients to be beneath him.
Dr Cohen is inconsiderate to his staff. He's constantly yelling at someone to get him this, or do that. I could not and would not subject myself to working with him on a daily basis. During my visit, I waited for three hours only to spend less than five minutes with him, and he would cut me off and not answer any of my questions. I would not recommend this man to follow my eye health concerns.
I have visited him twice. The first time he forgot to ask about or to include prism in my lenses. The second time he stated that I was a good candidate for cataract surgery. I asked him why I needed cataract surgery. The sum total of his response was It's entirely up to you. After being forced to watch 10 minutes on new laser procedures, I asked him if we could use it. He curtly informed me no. He provided no other information. Cannot recommend.
Dr. Cohen mixed up which he would be the distance eye and which eye would be the near vision eye.
