brilliant all round, folks, information, explanations, procedures etc etc
Could not have had a better experience. His team is a well oiled machine because he is in high demand as a surgeon; you might have to wait 3 months to see him, but it is worth the wait. I used a walker for two days and a cane for three. If I need another joint replaced I know who will do it!
I had left total knee replacement in May. At 4 weeks I resumed hitting tennis balls. I was amazed. I took no narcotics during the post-operative period. I was amazed. Now at 12 weeks out I am fully functional and mobile. If I sit for more than an hour where I can't stretch my knee it gets a little sore. Otherwise I am asymptomatic. Have had both left and right knees replaced by Dr. Kress with amazing results. Minimal discomfort, great followup and complete and quick recovery. Hopefully I'll never have problems with my hips but if I did I would definitely see Dr. Kress,
Dr. Kress has done both of my knees and I could not be happier. After both surgeries I was totally done with physical therapy in 4 weeks and totally back to normal activities in 6 weeks. Initial visit for each knee was handled by Dr. Kress’ PA and surgery was scheduled for 10 to 12 weeks out. Outstanding experience from first visit through post op PT. Dr. Kress is one of the few doctors today who still has a wonderful bedside manner.
I've been reading more and more bad reviews about Dr. Kress so I decided to post my bad experience in the hopes that others would not have to endure the same fate! I went in for a total hip replacement. They would not schedule my visit with Dr. Kress. They said I would meet him ONCE IF they did the surgery. Main focus was on BMI only. Pre-surgery, met Dr. Kress ONE time for 5 minutes. In recovery after the surgery, you will be rushed out as fast as they can get you to move. Dr. Kress has replaced both of my hips and took away the pain both times. The recovery times were short and he and his team were excellent.
Dr. Kress is a competent Orthopedist however his post-op support staff are the worst I have ever encountered. There is no PT, your on your own. I would recommend using another doctor with more competent support PA and PT staff because you will not see Dr. Kress again after your surgery is complete. His staff blocks all attempts communicate with him.
