Not the best dentist I've been to. – It doesn't matter if the filling you fixed was of someone else's or of your own you did last year for me. The fact was the fillings you did last year to the teeth next to the old filling was the reason stuff started getting stuck in my teeth all the time. Every thing didn't start getting stuck between those two teeth until I had fillings done by your practice. Before I left that day after you fixed my teeth I asked the receptionist if I had been charged by you folks for fixing my teeth (because I thought the bill looked a little high). She told me "no". I said "are you sure?" and she said "yes, you were charged for other things at a different time". I was still unsure if I was charged the correct amount so later that day I called back, asked the receptionist again if they had charged me and read back the tooth information printed on the receipt I had received. Per the receipt I had been charged for three teeth total. Teeth 2 & 3 were filled for $145 each and then there was tooth 15 that had four surfaces done for $205. It was obvious tooth 15 was the one they had "fixed" since it was no where close to 2 & 3. She said she would have to talk to the dentist (since he was with a patient) at a later time and call me back. I said okay. She called me back later that day and said that since the old filling had not been done by their practice the charge was warranted. Since I was not happy she said the dentist said he would meet me halfway. They would bill the whole amount to the insurance company. If the insurance company paid less that what was originally estimated by the dentist then they would not charge me anything extra. If the insurance company paid more than what was estimated they would issue me a credit for the difference. Meeting me halfway is kind of a slap in the face. You're basically telling me that you, as a practice, don't take full responsibility for your mistakes. Yes, I think it's a mistake that you filled my teeth last year and didn't make sure the floss went thru the teeth as it should. Now when I floss my teeth it shreds the floss back there, even the shred-proof floss. I also don't think that the insurance company never got my three of four claims last year. Why would they get only the last claim made in August 2011 but not the prior three claims several months before? You had all the correct billing/mailing address stuff on record...you told me the info so I could pass it on to the insurance company and verify you guys had the right information. The insurance company had no record of receiving any of the first three claims, however, your receptionist told me she had sent them out right after my cleanings/procedures. I'm inclined to believe the insurance company since your receptionist flat out lied to my face while I was there. All of this summarizes why I will never go back to your practice as you have made a very angry customer. P.S. It's strange that after my gums started bleeding I got really sick to the point where I went to urgent care then the emergency room for two days. Just thought you'd like to know in case any of your other patients have the same problems...
