They have such caring & loving people working there and those people make you feel safe & cared for which is so important to anyone fighting cancer. I can't even imagine going anywhere else 💖
RecommendedWOW - All of the people who I met while going through Chemo a few years ago were professional, nice, caring, and sincerely interested in each patients success. We live in two states, so I went to another facility three times during my chemo. The other location ... did not do what the staff at The Alfond Center did. I greatly appreciate Dr Polkinghorn and Gary and everyone associated with the Alfond Center.
RecommendedI have just completed my kemo therapy and have two more radiation treatments left.I would like to thank everyone from the receptionist, radiation and kemo departments for being so kind and and understanding they all made me feel like i was at home.I never felt so comfortable. First of all, I really like my PCP at Elmwood, and most of the staff. My complaint is about one member of the nursing staff. I called and requested to be seen because I hadn't been able to keep foods or even liquids in for over 4 days. I am also a Type 2 diabetic. I was told by the nursing staff that this was not an emergency. I did end up going to the ER on my own. I was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidocis.
