I had a bad experience with Matthew Kelly, LMHC with my minor child. I don't recommend him for care of minor patients. I've heard he has, "mommy issues," so maybe see him if you want to commiserate about your moms.
Matts been my counselor for a few years. I started counseling now knowing how it could help me, Matt made it comfortable for me and it ended up being something that really helped me overcome some serious events in my life. Staying in counseling is something that makes me comfortable to this day and even though I come in sometimes with nothing to talk about he makes it a good day to be there. Thanks Matt.
As someone whose journey towards therapy started later in life, working with Matthew truly feels like a "partnership". I feel supported and comfortable, balanced by an actionable approach which holds me accountable but also feels non-judgmental. I like that he takes time to explain his approach but I never feel spoken down to.
Matthew is a strong clinical counselor, his knowledge of the field is vast. Yet, he is down to earth supportive and effective with therapy sessions. I have been seeing him for almost two years. He helped support me prior, during and after my divorce. Not only is he is professional counselor, but he also has a great sense of humor. Matt is an outstanding counselor with expertise in clinical psychology; he listens attentively to clients and addresses their needs tactfully. Trained in EMDR, he is especially helpful to those dealing with trauma. I highly recommend his mental health services to anyone who is on the fence about counseling.
