Dr. Kelly McCormick is an excellent surgeon! I interviewed three ankle surgeons and not only was he the most skilled and only one who could do the surgery "minimally intrusive" but he was also the best communicator. He always took the time to answer my questions collaboratively in a warm manner. His team at Hope Orthopedics were great too including the nursing assistants and Jamie Slosser, the Physicians Assistant. Furthermore, the surgery was successful and I was hiking four months later.
I was not so happy with Dr. McCormick. He could have told me about an over the counter fix for a situation with my foot but did not so I went along in pain for some time until I discovered this fix on my own. He seemed unsure of himself.
Dr McCormick is the sort of doctor that I wish every doctor could be. He is generous with his time and gives excellent explanation to patient questions. I am so pleased with him that I wish he could attend to every medical need that I might have . As a patient I say look no further, he is superb.
I recently broke my ankle and was referred to Dr. McCormick for follow up. My experience was terrific. As I hobbled in, the office staff treated me like a VIP. Then, Dr. McCormick saw me and carefully examined my ankle and showed me my x-rays. He explained my treatment plan and answered my follow up questions. Moving forward, I would prefer not to break anymore bones, but if I do, I know I will get excellent care from Dr. McCormick and the staff at Hope Orthopedics. Stephanie F.
Unfortunately, I broke my foot in such a way that it took over 10 months to properly heal, and I am so thankful for everyone at Hope who helped me along the way. Scheduling was always very easy and accommodating, the nurses and technicians went above and beyond to help me when my toddler had to come with me, and Dr. McCormick was wonderfully kind and really listened to me. I would highly recommend Hope Orthopedics to anyone in the Salem area.
