I discovered that Greg, one of the agents, Had visited my elderly mother with dementia. He talked to her about selling her house, even though her faculties are definitely not intact. A 10 minute conversation with my mother would indicate to you that there was something wrong, but somehow we moved forward. When I called him to tell him I was power of attorney to back off, he said he would, and then called my mother the next day.
