Dr. Yount's office went above and beyond to help me get reimbursed and to assist me with my pain management. I had to take my insurance company to the third level of appeals and he backed me all the way providing legal assistance. I ended up getting over 2/3 of my money back.
Just a thought for patients who truly want to get help – With chronic pain controlling their lives, some patients have psychological impairments that limit their ability to rationalize, think clearly, and/or be objective when situations occur that do not fit their predetermined expectations. It is difficult to find the appropriate words... – Actually, NO STARS If only 20/20 had hidden cameras in his office... WOW.
FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER! – Read the other 1 star reviews which are spot-on and painfully accurate. Combine that with his uninvited heavy dose of religion, Dale Carnegie, and a very unprofessional staff, and you have the makings of a PERFECT STORM. His 'regimen' was 5% actual treatment, and 95% tedious lecturing. You owe it to yourself to find another provider.
Pain clinic is a pain – I went to visit Dr Yount for chronic pain in my front teeth. He requests that you fill out all the paperwork interview information several days ahead of the visit so that he might have the full picture ready for your visit. His staff informs you that your first visit will cost a flat fee of $350 for the first hour of the visit and then another $150 for any time after that hour. A Positive Life-Changing Experience – I have been a patient of Dr. Yount's since 11/5/03 when he diagnosed me with osteoarthritis in the right jaw and articular disc disorder in the left jaw. Not a Quack but Within Spitting Distance – Dr. Yount was recommended to me by both a dentist and an endodontist when neither could find the cause of my chronic mouth pain. I was told the initial consultation would be $350. I was asked to fill out a 12-page questionnaire about my habits, routines, my medical history, my diet, my sleep, etc., and email it back. complete waste of time – after several therapy treatments, decided to pull the plug on this guy. he gives out useless articles he calls " projects", that are so impractical, and obtuse it's unbelievable. basically what we received was a BS lecture for about an hour each time, followed by some " re-adjustments " on a mouth piece, which does no good. I feel sorry for people who go to him in severe pain, only to get taken. reading the other reviews, I am not alone in this belief.same your money folks, this guy is A SCAM..
