I haven't been to every steakhouse in New York, but this one is the best. Bring a friend (or two) and get the Porterhouse.

There’s no place that more NYC than here. Don’t skip the mutton chop or the crème brulee afterwards. Looking for something more casual (and affordable), sit in the pub!

Great spot. Opened in 1878. Was also a smoking lounge til 1970. Over 90k clay smoking pipes on the ceiling Main hang out for actor & playwrights. Show up early and grab a drink at the bar. Perfect

Nice Porterhouse. Don't hesitate taking the Riesling 2009 of Hermann J. Wiemer : very well balanced with freshness and light sweetness. Lemon and rose aromas. A fine wine, a good value for price.
