I've been lucky enough to have visited many racing related establishments around the world, but Keeneland rates as one of the very best.
The grounds are so maintained and everything is gorgeous. Attended the 2016 Sept. Yearling Sale. The employees are so courteous and friendly. Can't wait 'til racing season!
Since I am from Lexington, Keenland was always a beautiful place to go. Make reservations and then enjoy the magic of horse racing and its pagentry! It's so worth it. I always had a mint julep (I asked for a weaker version because they make it strong). If you have a personal plane, arrange a shuttle, then fly into Bluegrass Field. I used to fly my plane from Indianapolis.
We had a wonderful tour with Mike! This is a beautiful place. I highly recommend the tour.
Really enjoyed the 8:30 tour this morning with Mary! Learned lots from her! I just wish I had arrived earlier so I could watch more of the horses morning exercise!
It's Keeneland. It's perfect in so many ways. Rich in heritage and tradition. Beautiful. Classy. It's a gem that we're lucky to be close to.

We have a fabulous time visiting in May to watch the morning workouts and take a tour. Our guide (Dave) was wonderful. He shared so much information about both the track and the racing industry. We came back the following morning to see the workouts again and visit the Gift Shop which is closed on Sundays. We took Dave's advice and stopped in the Library to see the display of horse shoes and look at the many historic photographs of the track. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We will be back again!
We make the trip every year for Spring and Fall races. Always a pleasure, always a great experience. Gorgeous and respected athletes, beautiful and friendly track. We've parked close and far; it's always worth it to us.
