Keating Auto Group practices Tied-selling, making it mandatory to purchase an APEX protect unit with every vehicle along with a protection plan (over $4,000 in "mandatory" add-ons). Refusing to sell any vehicle without both included. the Owner Ben Keating is a key principal of said APEX company and Keating Auto Group. Conflict of interest as well as multiple FTC and Texas AG infractions.
I am writing you to let you know what wonderful service we received from Josh Matson, assistant service manager in Port Lavaca. I am 80 years old. My wife and I were driving home from her procedures at MD Anderson and our 2021 Tahoe failed to start and we had to have it towed to the Keating Chevrolet dealership in Port Lavaca. It was great until it wasn't. Signed contract on one vehicle and given a different one without knowing. Did not receive paperwork because their systems had been hacked. We are registered to a different truck than what we signed for. Tried to take the truck back because it is not the truck we are financing. We were told by the General Manager that they could change vin numbers and that I had to take whatever they gave me because I signed the contract. He said they had already been paid and my problem was with the finance comp... read more
