Just a warning. – KBC Management offers clean, nice places but I would severely recommend that you look elsewhere when apartment searching. At the time that I lived in one of their apartments I always had the feeling that I was under some sort of Orwellian surveillance. I would get nasty letters from KBC for things like leaving my front door ajar while I grabbed things from inside to bring to my car. Don't Rent!! – I have lived in a KBC building for 3 years. While I appreciate the location and some of the unique aspects of my building, the management is horrible and nearly impossible to get a hold of. In multiple cases of broken pipes, windows and accounting errors (KBC's fault) phone calls, e-mails, voicemails and good old fashioned letter writing have gone without a response. I'm excited to be packing my bags and moving out soon. Better deals and better "renter-care" are out there!!

Roaches – I live in one of KBC's buildings in downtown PDX. I've spotted roaches 5 times since I moved in. Not that great of a place to live, yet the rent and the hassle makes it seem like this place is super-exclusive. Don't bother.

Excellent management company... – I find it odd to read such harsh reviews of this company. Having lived in one of their buildings for the past three years, I've never had one complaint. They seem to fix things when the break. My manager has been friendly, quick and helpful. I'm staying put until I buy a house.

A Cancerous Place!!!!!! – Terrible place. They blow through building managers because the owner and upper management are terrible. In three years my building had six different building managers, all of them terrific and hard working. Also, the buildings are expensive, mine was moldy, in at least half of the units, and did I mention that the management sucks. Steer clear!!

I wouldn't waste my money – KBC has acquired some great architectural buildings, but they don't know how to treat the people that reside inside the buildings. They basically in my definition are slum lords. They have high prices for a small amount of Square Footage, no amenities, Lots of Mold( so don't have anything valuable), Maintenance will happen eventually, but it takes time. Did I mention MOLD. The walls start to bubble up and then there are mold pockets and guess what they can't repair it for awhile and you are paying... read more

Is nothing important? – My experience dealing with these jokers has been nothing short of awefull, Outside of having a very hard working, genuine landlord. At $1000 for 650' you might expect a little more from the people taking that money. I had a simple repair that could not seem to just be dealt with. I couldn't even get a call back for a "effing" emergency. These people ought to be ashamed of themselves. Way overpriced for the quality of the place and the management – I had some issues with this management company during my year lease. I lived on the 5th floor and the elevator was out of service a few times, about 2 months total! And I received no kind of compensation, nor did anyone else in the apartment building. I wouldn't complain had I not been paying a grand a month to live there. You could find nicer people and a nicer place for less elsewhere. Do your research before signing a lease here.
