Well I've been to the kay bailey Hutchison convention center twice and the first time I had a great time. I went there for the Europa. Well then I went this year for the fanexpo and I didn't notice how expensive the food was. $10 for a small pizza. That was ridiculous! And alot of people complain about $20 parking? I saw this but I ended up finding a $5 parking allday . So I was fine with that and walking as well.
Attended the fan expo and it was set up all wrong and the staff had no idea what was going on. I expected more organization was greatly disappointed.
Horrible organization by FanExpo yesterday. With the two biggest TV stars coming they should have been more prepared, knowing they canceled on Sunday. I bought my group photo op for Norman & JDM the day the went on sale online that morning. They didn't keep the planned groups to get the pictures, and just shuttled us in like cattle regardless of group numbers. I feel bad for those who didn't get their opportunity and bought the day of sales online. I was lucky and was one of the last few to get mine. Use the PA system more, ... read more
The CON was a fun as always! Tons of people geeking and nerding out without fear. Heck, the religeous nuts even stopped using megaphones to tell us we were all going to hell this year! (Thank you for finally respecting our use of free will!) OK with that beeing said, there was a little problem with the photo op area. I think they weren't ready for this many people as the CON has grown aloooot over the last two years. It all came down to line management and the staff handled it as beat they could, kept their cool pretty well ... read more
The air conditioning was inept. Not enough concession to handle massive crowds. Beverages were selling so fast they on had hot side and water.
Was there for Fan Expo and it was very unorganized! It was our first time there so we had a blast anyways!
The center is actually very nice but clearly the fan expo organization was not ready for such a big crowd.
I will be forwarding you my resume to organize next year's event. This one was terribly done creating chaos and even fights amongst patrons, something I've never seen at an expo! The organizers this year should turn in their resignations with their heads down!
I attended Fan Expo Days yesterday, and it was very overcrowded. I have attended Walker Stalker at this venue before and it was not nearly as overcrowded. There needs to be a better handle on crowd control. I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to see due to how long it took to get from point a to point b.
