About this business

For more than a 100 years, this huge cafeteria-style Jewish deli has been delighting New Yorkers with their pastrami and brisket sandwiches alongside their scrumptious "kosher-style" meals. The humble eatery, with Formica tables lined up in rows, may not be the ideal place to take a date (unless you want to remind him or her of eating in a school lunchroom), but if you are craving a giant sandwich served with perfect pickles or a couple of kosher hot dogs, there is perhaps no better place than Katz's in the city. The Pastrami Sandwich tasted good, but the price and the environment are totally overrated.

Brisket Ruben is awesome. Meat is so tender it's crazy! The potato latkes are beyond good. I could have them all day everyday

The table service is slow and hostile. The bagels and lox were fresh and delicious! Can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches.

Don't get the cheese steak and any egg cream. Get all of the deli items and you'll love them!

The pastrami sandwich is delicious- get it with a side order of fries for an incredibly satisfying drunchies meal

Si estás en NY no dejes de venir. El Pastrami es delicioso, la mejor carne que he probado nunca. Merece la pena el precio que cuesta. Mejor solo que con queso.

The pastrami on rye will set you back about a million dollars (OK, $20), but it’s twice as big as your apartment. Definitely worth getting at least once.

Their pastrami is like butter! It just melts in your mouth! Get the matzo ball soup. Don't lose your ticket and tip the counter guys!
