For more than a 100 years, this huge cafeteria-style Jewish deli has been delighting New Yorkers with their pastrami and brisket sandwiches alongside their scrumptious "kosher-style" meals. Food is amazing, staff is super rude.
Katz ale and a pastrami on rye will run you $23 usd. But it's a big ass sandwich!!
I didn't order the pastrami but the corned beef. Terrible terrible mistake. I thought the entrance to the ladies bathrooms were interesting.
Every cutter has his own line so don't be afraid to move around. To order beer go to the burger guy. I suggest the katz's ale
I had my first Pastrami on Rye here years ago! It felt like Christmas when my grandpa told me to "go get my own"....I now know why. Greed isn't always a bad thing. Thank you Katz's!

Just a suggestion for tourists... Tip (ie leave a gratuity) the Amazing Counter folks, they work extremely hard... and if you take care of them they may give you a "locals" portion.... ;-)
I find pastrami to be the most sensual of all the salted cured meats.
