Love it here! Great service, good food, good ambiance. I love the outside area. Its comfortable and trendy. You are able to sit comfortably and stay warm with the heaters.

OK. But not 5 stars... – This place is over rated! It is more about the atmosphere than the food. The food is ok but not great. The prices are WAY too much! The spicy tuna on rice is like a rubber with spicy tomatoes. Adamame are too salty. The only dish I like is there fried onions with Albacore. Overall 2 stars. Don't forget the parking at LA Live is $20 + dollars!

Great sushi, especially for a "chain" – So maybe not a chain, but I know there's a few Katsuya's around town. I needed to seriously take my mind off of the Lakers game on Sunday and I went here hoping to get super drunk on imported Japanese beer (which, for the record, was delicious), but after my first sashimi (albacore=mouthwatering) I decided to focus on the food and I was not disappointed. Being from out of town and brainwashed by stereotypes of LA, I was expecting to get ripped off and walk out of there still hungry, but Katsuya did everything right to please this big Midwestern appetite. I'm not one much for sushi, but the wife ranted and raved about every dish she tried, especially the yellowtail and California rolls. I opted for a slightly more traditional Baked Salmon dish, and it f... read more

SBE's super sleek sushi spot goes downtown at L.A. Live. – L.A.'s sceniest sushi house has finally gone downtown with this enormous space that continues the collaboration between sushi chef Katsuya Uechi and designer Philippe Starck. Paying homage to the traditional bento box with lots of black and red (including the um, carpet), the palette here is much darker than the other three locations, save for the flat screen TVs scattered about and the huge outdoor area that glows beneath the vibrant lights of Nokia Theater. Still, ... read more
