Dr. Schabel is a fantastic doctor! She did both my knee replacements, three months apart, and they both went splendidly. My recovery from each has been relatively quick with little pain. In a matter of weeks, I could feel the improvement in the case of each knee. She is energetic, and decisive. When we met, she always gave me her full attention, answered all questions, and exuded warmth and empathy. I couldn't ask for more. Highest recommendation.

An orthopedic specialist who treated me for CT referred me to Dr. Schabel at OHSU after viewing my knee x-rays. I met with Dr. Schabel and her team, they assessed my history and explained how the difficult but manageable surgery and rehab proceeds. While waiting for an opening in her surgical schedule, I've met with the PT team who'll help me post-surgery; they also gave me a pre-operative plan to build strength. I'm confidant that this is a good choice and I'm looking forward to getting back to my life!
