Dr. Link was our newly diagnosed pediatric son's endo as there were no other endo's in the NoVa areea to choose from. Dr. Link's was very abrasive, demanding, bullying and down right rude when it came to pt care and how the family was treated! Thankfully we were able to find a pediatric endo at UVA and our son's health and pt care has greatly improved on Day One of seeing his new Dr. When his new Endo said you all have got this what do you need from me it lifted a heavy weight off our shoulders. Dr. Link lacks bedside manner, tact, and knowledge in her subject field of pediatric endocrinology. She gave my son a height estimate based solely on a bone scan which according to many other physicians is an outdated test which yields inaccurate results. It appears as though she practices solely by the book and is unable to view her patients from a holistic perspective.
I would not recommend Dr. Link to anyone. Especially to people who have a child 13 and older that are type 1 diabetic. She told my fifteen year old daughter who was not sexually active that if she became pregnant her baby would more than likely be born missing limbs. Dr. Link used scare tactics on my child that still haunt her to this day. I don’t believe she has the time or patience for preteens or teenagers.
We saw Dr Link for our sons growth issue and she was as methodical as considerate. We did not find the answers due to the tests but the provider was outstanding. I would not hesitate recommending her.
Dr Link is the best doctor I have ever come across . She really cares about the patient, is extremely thorough and explains everything clearly.
