Dr. Barrett has performed four gum grafts on my mouth over the past few years. The results have been perfect. She really knows what she is doing and explains what is going on in your mouth in a calm, clear manner. The procedures were relatively quick, with soreness subsiding after a couple of days. The atmosphere in Dr. Barrett's office is kind an warm. Everyone in the office is positive, helpful, and treat me like family whenever I'm there.

My regular dentist sent me to Dr. Barrett to have my gums checked. Turned out I had gingivitis, and my gums were in need of some serious attention. We embarked on a plan to do some grafting. I've had more pain getting a cleaning. Not sure exactly how many teeth were worked on, but I feel as if it were all the gums. Dr. Barrett was sensitive to ensuring I was comfortable and informed throughout the process. Also, Carol is a wonderful support to Dr. Bennett and helped things run smoothly during surgery. So far, it seems as if ... read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Barrett and her staff. I had put off doing a much-needed gum graft because I had heard such awful things about the pain of having tissue removed from the roof of your mouth to be used as the graft. Dr. Barrett does not do that. She uses AlloDerm (go to her website to read about it). I was also very nervous about the pain after the procedure, but I had Zero pain. She called me after the procedure to check on me and even called me back when I called the office on a weekend! The results ... read more

I was sick for quite some time and had terrible tooth problems so much so that a couple of teeth fell out. I sought emergency medicine from my relatively new dentist and he referred me to an oral surgeon at BWH. This fool made erroneous appointments over a 3 week period when I was in horrible untreated pain and then they all told me that it couldn't happen, told me to "stop making it up or I will loose more teeth." I finally wised up and returned to my original dentist who immediately referred me to Dr. Barrett. She immediat... read more

This was a very expensive procedure, having the Alloderm gum graft. She convinced me to have each and every one of my teeth done, ( except the front two) which all other periodondist have later said was a sign of greed. The surgery was haphazard and resulted in worsening of my gum recession and did not help in 90% of the areas she worked on. She is misleading as to the results you can except, greedy and not very honest if you want my opinion. Worst experience of my life.

I had a tooth extracted. I went for an eval first and she believed the tooth needed to be pulled. I was very nervous so I called my general dentist. He sent me to an endo and the endo recommended me get the flap surgery. I did not do that. I had my teeth deep scaled, that was when it was conclusive that the tooth was a sick tooth. Needless to say Dr. Barrett scheduled her hygienist to see me after hours for my deep scaling (that was unusual and kind treatment). The next day I went in and had the tooth pulled. (again after th... read more

Dr. Barrett was extremely efficient and gentle with my care. I had a crown lengthening done and it went so well. I recovered so well. Thank you Dr. Barrett!

Dr Barrett provides a comfortable environment in which difficult and complex procedures are performed with professionalism, great care, and thoroughness. Her staff are well trained and share the same warmth and high level of dental care. Chair-side manners could not be better.

The hygenist and receptionist are the best I have encountered. Dr. Barrett does her best to make you comfortable, but may downplay after-effects or side-effects of treatment. Sometimes her instructions conflict with those of her staff. She does a good job, but may waffle when questioned directly.
