The staff is professional and friendly. The waiting period was longer than expected but the reason for it was revealed once we saw Dr. Bencze. It was the first visit for my mother and Dr. Bencze went over all her previous medical history, without a rush, asking relevant questions. The physical exam was so detailed and accommodating to her disability level. Dr. Bencze did an overall assessment and recommended a escalated change on one of the medications. We will continue with her.
I have been a patient of Dr.Katherine Bencze for almost 2 years. She is a very medically knowledgeable and a compassionate doctor. Always have a positive attitude,and always have something to say that is very informative and interesting. I completely trust her with my health and welfare. I could not have found a better neurologist. We have a very good doctor to patient relationship.
Extremely unhelpful staff; cancelled my daughter's appointment saying she did not confirm her appointment with them. That was never any instruction to her to confirm back, nor was there a call to her to request her to confirm back!! She took a day off from her work at 'the' well known cancer facility here in Tampa, and has been suffering in severe pain for weeks. No compassion for her pain. Seems others here have had the same experience as well. Will not return!
Scheduling was a great experience. I NEEDED to see Dr. B, but openings were several weeks out. I asked to be notified if there was a cancellation ... I was at the office seeing the doctor in a matter of days! Dr. B is a careful listener and observer. She was full of concern, compassion, and confidence-building wisdom. Time stood still as all of my questions and anxious thoughts were addressed in easy-to-understand concepts and reassuring words. I felt like I was her ONLY patient!
I would highly recommend! She was my Dr, back in 1990 when I had my first seizure, and continued to treat me thru the years. I have moved away from the Tampa area (three hours away) and I still travel back to Tampa for my appointments! She is well worth the drive. Knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and also speaks the truth in love! I couldn't ask for a better Dr.
Dr. Bencze was excellent. She took her time with me and was very thorough and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable and she was very knowledgeable.
I waited a very long time to see this doctor. In the end, it was a waste of time. She asked me to get a procedure that I've already had within the last two years when she originally diagnosed my migraines as "stress related." She discharged me as a patient because I wouldn't "follow her recommendations." She gave me two weeks notice, 11 days worth of medicine with my refill due now, (a medicine that you shouldn't stop taking suddenly) and not a care in the world. unprofessional
She is the absolute best neurologist I have ever had. She is very thorough and caring. I have never been in the waiting room for more that 25 (usually 10) minutes and she spends a lot of time with me. She has called me at least twice to discuss my test results! How many drs do that anymore?? Her staff is very kind and professional too. If you're looking for a great dr who cares, I cannot recommend her enough!
Dr. Bencze is a compassionate physician and truly interested in helping patients. She takes the time to listen to concerns of her patients and then formulates a treatment plan best suited for that patient. During my last office visit, I asked a few questions and was so pleased that Dr. Bencze took the time to review some reference materials and suggested the best course of action. Her staff is always very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend Dr. Bencze, a truly preeminent neurologist.
