I needed a filling done, and was very disappointed in the process. First off they used amalgam, which apparently has mercury, but neglected to tell me this or anything at all. Secondly, anesthetic does not work well on me, so I could feel the drill in my tooth, not helped by her rushing as much as possible. I could not tell her this because when I signaled her she did not fully back off. Third, no one gave me any info on aftercare until I asked them, and then the secretaries weren't sure.

We do place composite (white) dental fillings. We do also in some instances place amalgam restorations when the restoration is too big for a composite or the patient cannot afford a crown. The FDA and ADA have made statements regarding dental amalgam restorations. They do not leech mercury and can be a strong affordable choice for some people.
Dr Thokey and her staff are amazing!!! I would recommend her to anyone. If you have any anxiety about going, let her know she'll work with you and make sure you are comfortable!!
