I needed to get new medication as my previous urologist has retired. I have DVA (Dept of Veteran Affairs) card. Unfortunately, this physician was not able to create scripts to enable the DVA discount and was not capable or interested in learning the process. So, I had to switch to a urologist that could do DVA scripts. It turns out, all that is necessary to create a script for DVA is one phone call to DVA to get the approval number - simple.
Recently - July 2022 - I had my TURP procedure with Dr. Katelaris. In hindsight, more care and explanation would have been helpful—particularly regarding the difference between urinary frequency and pressure. I experience both, but my main concern has been the frequent sleep interruptions, which I’ve since realised aren’t addressed by the TURP procedure, as it primarily targets pressure issues. Dr Katelaris has been looking after me for 25 years. In all that time I’ve found him to be professional, genuine and caring. If I’ve had any questions or concerns he’s been more than happy to respond in a respectful manor. I appreciate the experience and knowledge that Dr Katelaris has when my health is in his hands. Thank you.
