Today, my baby was born! I feel so warm and bubbly inside but I know that my experience would have been very different if it wasn’t for Christine (Sandra Bullock) on the night shift, Allison on the day shift, and Dr. Won or Wong (everything went to fast) on the day shift. They went above and beyond for me and anyone else, I’m sure. Special shoutout to Allison. She walked me off of cliff. Good luck trying to get in. I came in to triage they said I couldn't go to the Karmanos center because my BP was high. Actually it was high because I was already at 8-9cm dilated. Even when they checked me and found out they still said they couldn't let me in. That's how they keep their numbers so nice. They're super selective even my OB later told me they knew the Karmanos wasn't going to let me in 😒 I had my baby an hr later only a few pushes, non medicated in the normal L&D, the postpartum room is garbage and the meal se... read more
Great experience! I would recommend to anyone who wants a “home birth “ experience but still wants to be in a hospital just in case. Room felt more like a hotel than a hospital. Full size bed for my husband and I to sleep in was a huge plus. Every staff member i encountered was amazing.
Recently gave birth to my baby girl November 10th and I couldn’t have asked for a better care team. Each of the ladies that worked with me from beginning to end took care of me as if they were a mother/sister to me. I had anxiety to give birth and my nursing staff talked me through everything. All medications were explained and I didn’t feel forced to take or do anything. I truly thank the Corewell staff with everything in me for such a relaxing and peaceful experience!
