I had cataract surgery on Sept 3 2014 and it is now Dec 2 2014 and it is still NOT HEALED OR RIGHT! I am so so so sooooooory I had it done for I could see fine and never had pain or discomfort in my right eye till I had the surgery. I am sick about this!
“Dr.” Troy M. Karlik is a huge imbecile! He wouldn’t make eye contact and that should’ve been the first red flag. He treated me like I was a huge burden and was completely rude. He announced, with the door open and people in the waiting area, that I might have glaucoma. He was completely insensitive about it. Instead of telling me what the next steps should be or reassuring me, he bashed the people who did my Lasik procedure and tried to blame my parents for the possible glaucoma – sorry, no one in my family has it. Stay away-referred by Passavant ER when a pressure washer malfunctioned & chemicals splashed in eyes-saw 1 doc at 330- who did not use 1 medical word w/me so I had NO idea what damage was done or prognosis! Then had to be seen the following a.m. & saw another doc who is totally opposite - pompous is the nicest word- I found him to be very condescending, didn't really give me a chance to tell him how I'm feeling, what changed, that I was NOT able to get eye drops NOR did he care-that was OBVIOUS! RIPOFF!! unethical. no privacy. lack of professionalization ...
I visited this office recently for an appointment for both myself and my 8 year old. I found their employees to be disorganized and customer service skills to be truly lacking. They were not able to get through my daughters appointment without me stepping in to remind them to RAISE THE CHAIR after she was not able to read the letters, which she couldn't see at all from the adult setting. The opthamologist was noticeably cranky and very curt with both of us, which I did not appreciate. This is definitely not a family friendly... read more
